Nutritionist, Feyette County Community Action Coalition: This key role is responsible for delivering nutrition assessment and education services throughout Fayette County. This role also supports breastfeeding education and conducts community outreach with physicians and social service agencies. Key responsibilities for this position include: Providing nutrition assessment for WIC clients and educating them on proper nutrition; Conducting client health screenings (including anthropometrics and hemoglobin testing) during intake and throughout the program; Managing nutrition education and assessment for high-risk clients; Providing technical assistance to WIC staff to ensure compliance with program policies and regulations; Engaging in outreach activities aimed at expanding program participation; Meeting with clinicians and social service providers to educate them on WIC referral processes and available services; Developing and distributing nutrition education materials; and, Preparing and presenting nutrition education/training. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Nutrition, experience providing nutrition education and consultation services and a strong desire to ensure the health and well-being of Fayette Country’s children. SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educator (Full Time), Vetri Community Partnership: SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educators primarily teach students and caregivers in K-8 public and charter schools and adults at food retail sites throughout Philadelphia. They implement programming in alignment with approved Pennsylvania Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (PA SNAP-Ed) activities. In addition to teaching, nutrition educators collaborate with liaisons at assigned sites to encourage sustainable, positive health behaviors through Policy, Systems, and Environmental Change (PSE) approaches. Bilingual Community Health and Nutrition Educator, The Salvation Army Harrisburg: The Bi-lingual Community Health & Nutrition Educator (CHNE) will be responsible for conducting hands-on nutrition education activities and demonstrations as assigned as well as facilitate other community health events and workshops based on participant feedback. This position will be full time and may include daytime, evenings, and/or weekends. The CNHE will need to shop, lesson prep, practice, conduct, and evaluate nutrition education activities. Additional activities will include helping to advertise classes, create relationships with class attendees, and communicate and follow-up with attendees to strengthen relationships and continue to encourage healthy habits.
