Project Coordinator, PA NEN

The Project Coordinator will support PANEN’s efforts to increase access to healthier environments for SNAP-eligible individuals and under-resourced communities. The coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the program and supporting the PANEN Director, Program Manager and Communication Manager on all reporting responsibilities. This position will coordinate webinar planning and execution, recruit speakers, training attendees and consultants, and provide data entry assistance towards tracking deliverables and monitoring performance measures. This position reports to the PANEN Program Manager. The portfolio of projects may be subject to change as projects evolve and/or new funding opportunities arise.

Nutrition Coordinator, Drexel University

Under the supervision of the Program Manager, conducts and coordinates approved nutrition education programs in assigned Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) eligible schools in the School District of Philadelphia (SDP) and in eligible community sites to school-age and adult populations. Coordinates PA SNAP-Ed activities at assigned sites. Coordination includes: meeting with site staff, committees, and partners to assess, review and plan site wellness goals and interventions; planning, scheduling, and conducting direct education adhering to SNAP-Ed guidelines; seeks and participates in opportunities for policy, systems, and environment (PSE) interventions with the goal of positive behavioral changes for participants. Participates in Back to School nights, health fairs, workshops and other allowable school and community events that support PSE initiatives. Participates in evaluation activities as assigned. Utilizes Microsoft applications. Responsible for scheduling and coordination of nutrition education and PSE activities within assigned areas of responsibility. Responsible for accurate and timely documentation and reporting of activities as required. PA criminal background check, FBI Clearance and child abuse clearance are required. Responsible to complete Occupational Health requirements. Must have valid driver's license and access to a reliable mode of transportation. Current ServSafe Manager Certification is a plus. This is a 10 month position paid over 12 months. (Off over the summer months when SDP is not in session. Dates determined based on SDP school calendar.)

Nutrition Educator, Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank

Helping Harvest is seeking applicants for a grant funded Nutrition Educator position. The Nutrition Educator’s primary role is to implement and support the Healthy Pantry Initiative in pantries throughout Berks and Schuylkill Counties. This position will encourage pantries to select healthier food options, facilitate nutrition education classes, assist pantries with display strategies and equipment, and conduct assessments on program progress. The Nutrition Educator will also work with Helping Harvest staff to provide information regarding nutrition guidelines and information for agency partners.
