Here's your opportunity to get involved in the activities Network and to help the Network reach its goals. In keeping with the mission of the PA NEN, and to provide opportunity for all NEN Members to be involved in the work of the Network.

Formal Network committee meetings typically take the form of conference calls, following a schedule that is established for a 12 month period. Face-to-face meetings occur once a year, and are held during the Network's Annual Conference which takes place in the spring.

The current members and staff of the Network would like to see everyone involved. A brief description of the responsibilities of each committee is presented below; click here to review the PA NEN Bylaws for additional information.

• PA NEN Board: Serves as governing body for PA NEN by advising the Management Entity, DPW and FNS on programs, policies and activities within the bounds of PA NEN's Mission. Membership is by election only.
• Executive Committee: Provides ongoing leadership for PA NEN, advancing the policies, guidelines and activities adopted by the Board. Members are elected from the Board.
• Social Marketing Committee: Identifies initiatives and reviews the progression PA NEN's "Eat Together PA" Social Marketing Campaign about fostering family meals.
• Conference Annual Meeting Committee: Provides leadership on preparing proposals and recommendations for the annual statewide conference.
• Outreach Committee: Recruits new Network members and Pennsylvania Nutrition Education Program (PA NEP) project sponsors.
• State Nutrition Action Committee (SNAC): Creates and edits nutrition education materials for coordinated use in agency activities and by all interested Pennsylvanian nutrition and health educators.
